CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE

The DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) are currently accepting applications to join the programme for the next academic year (usually starting in September 2020). Due to current Government guidelines, all DanceEast CAT activity is currently paused and therefore this year’s auditions dates are currently unconfirmed. DanceEast encourages applicants to complete the online application form to register their interest in auditioning for the programme. When the dates are confirmed, DanceEast will contact all applicants who have submitted the online form to offer a range of audition dates.

This page will get updated when further information is available.

AUDITIONS

Entry onto the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) is by audition. Auditions usually run each year in May and June.

There is a two-stage audition process. Everyone who applies will be invited to take part in a Stage One audition which involves technique classes in ballet and contemporary and a creative workshop. Students will be placed in a class with people of a similar age and level of experience.

Selected applicants may be invited to attend a Stage Two audition.

We encourage everyone to apply to audition, no matter previous dance experience. The auditions are designed so that everyone can take part, have fun and meet new people.

Applications for 2020/21 are now open.

Deadline: Sunday 3 May 2020, 5pm – early application is advised.
