DanceEast is delighted to be bringing back Akram Khan’s much-loved production of Chotto Desh after it premiered at the DanceHouse in 2015. Returning to capture the attention and imagination of new audiences, this adaptation of Akram Khan’s award-winning solo and critically acclaimed piece DESH, is a heart-warming story that follows a young man trying to find his place in the world.
Kathak and contemporary dance are mixed with spoken text, dreamlike animation, visuals, and specially composed music, to create an enchanting and poignant dance-theatre experience that will delight audiences of all ages.
