Choreographed and performed by Alethia Antonia, Inscribed in “Me” is a dance performance that uses movement, voice and music to explore both personal and historical experiences related to boundaries of feminine blackness and self-authorship.
Inscribed in “Me” is a journey of self-discovery and healing; a journey that is both deeply personal and universal.
“So finely crafted – you felt how precise and effective each decision about movement and design was to realise a very powerful whole.” – Audience member, The Place
Please note: this performance contains themes of racial and personal trauma.
Presented in partnership with SPILL Festival. SPILL Festival takes place from 13 – 29 October 2023.
Produced by The Recreate Agency.
