Careers in Dance Workshop
A session designed to inspire students by showcasing the breadth of careers available in the dance sector.
- Highlights roles from choreographers and performers to producers, dance scientists, and movement directors.
- Engages students in practical tasks to explore their own strengths and interests in dance.
- Provides insight into pathways, including vocational training, university courses, and pre-professional programmes such as the DanceEast CAT.
Best delivered as a 90-minute workshop, or half-day workshop.

WORK EXPERIENCE
DanceEast offers an office-based placement, giving students a chance to explore various behind-the-scenes roles within the dance and creative sectors, including Front of House, Marketing, Producing and Tech. It’s an ideal way to get invaluable experience working in a professional dance organisation.
We have limited capacity for work experience and therefore can only take on placements through our designated partner schools. This ensures we can provide a consistent and well-supported programme for students in our community.
If you are interested in a placement, we recommend speaking with your school’s careers lead to check if your school is one of our work experience partners. They will then be placed to advise you on how to apply.
