A private event for the alumni of the DanceEast CAT.
- Improv Jam | 11am-12.30pm
- Social (mince pies and mulled wine) | 12.45pm-1.30pm
IMPROV JAM
The session will be split roughly in half (or 40:60), beginning with warm up tasks revolving around compositional, group and contact improvisation in the first half, and then taking these ideas into a jam for the second. Led/facilitated by CAT Alumni Elly Trent, options to use voice as well as movement, will support getting to dance, move and to be with each other in a relaxed and playful space. The jam will be accompanied by CAT Musicians (percussion by Simon Doling, and piano by Calvin Goymer). People are welcome to drop in and out of the jam, switching between observer and participator whenever they fancy!
The Improv Jam will be led/facilitated by DanceEast CAT Alumni Elly Trent.
Elly is a choreographer and filmmaker. Her work examines the interaction of live and digital performance, while prioritising accessibility and engagement to all audiences. @Elly_The_Trent
