There’s something for everyone!
Music, Art and Dance collide in the DanceEast foyer with our festival DJ, mini dance floor, costume corner and catwalk and an array of arts and crafts materials to create your own ‘Dance is…’ artwork to add to our community gallery.
The festival will also screen dance films and display artwork and photography by local and regional young artists.
Ending the festival on a high, Dance Jam invites everyone to gather in the theatre for a final hour of throwing shapes with our festival DJ. Let it all go, dance for joy, dance with strangers and dance with friends. Just dance!
GET INVOLVED
There are loads of ways to get involved with YouthFest this year.
Showcase your work: We’re calling out for dancer related artwork and photography and dance films from local students and artists under 30. You can also be part of our ‘Dance is…’ community gallery by creating your own artistic response to the prompt ‘Dance is…’ and bringing it with you on the day.
Showcase your moves: Fancy doing a flashmob? Or why not choreograph something with your friends for our Dance Jam ‘dance off’ – the dance floor is open for anyone and everyone to show us their moves!
