Dance with Far From The Norm
Join Far From The Norm for a high-energy dance workshop specifically for over 50s that explores street dance techniques, creative tasks, and the company’s signature movement vocabulary.
Rooted in Hip Hop foundations, the session uses guided physical tasks and improvisation to deconstruct ideas, test new movement vocabularies, and unlock fresh creative instincts. Expect an energetic, exploratory, and highly physical experience.
Victoria Shulungu
This workshop will be led by Victoria Shulungu; a versatile dance artist, rehearsal director, teacher, and producer with a rich background in Street dance styles. She is the Creative Associate for Hip-Hop dance theatre company Far From The Norm and has been in the company since 2012, where she harnesses her unique movement language and autobiographical approach to performance. Victoria’s empathetic nature and attention to musical detail enhance her creative process, drawing sensitivity from colleagues. Emerging from the London Hip-Hop community, she blends technique with a deep psychological understanding of her art, ensuring that every movement conveys intention and feeling, influenced by her Christian faith.
