A lively and creative Hip Hop dance class that introduces children to the fundamentals of hip hop dance.
This class is in partnership with Elementz.
Elementz Entertainment is an award-winning Hip Hop and Street Dance company based in London, with its academy located in Loughton, Essex. Founded in 2006 by renowned choreographer Lindon Barr, Elementz offers classes at DanceEast, Ipswich for children and adults, focusing on various street dance styles including hip hop, popping, locking, breaking and house. The classes build technical skill, creativity and performance, providing students with authentic Hip Hop dance training in a supportive environment.

Half Term: There will be no class on Thursday 19 February 2026

WHAT TO BRING
Participants should wear clothes that they are comfortable moving in and bring a reusable bottle of water. Water fountains can be found on the ground floor and 1st floor of the building. Shoes should be removed for class and participants should wear socks or participate bare foot.

BURSARIES
Bursaries for autumn 2025 classes are now open.
Bursaries are available to participants on a termly basis. Please remember you will need to re-apply each term if you would like to continue receiving the bursary. Bursaries are not guaranteed each term and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To keep the bursary for the full term, participants must attend at least 7 out of 10 classes. If 3 or more classes are missed without prior notice, the bursary will be withdrawn.
Children and young people from low-income households may be eligible to access this class for free through the DanceEast Bursary Fund. Find out more about the DanceEast Bursary Fund and the necessary criteria here.
