BOLD. EMERGING. INTIMATE.
Join Anthony Missen, Creative Director & Chief Executive of DanceEast, and emerging artists for a night of exploration, experimentation and creative exchange.
At this relaxed event set in our dance studios, you’ll experience short works in development, take part in post-show discussions and connect socially with the artists and fellow audience members. As we delve into the incredible range of dance styles, genres and talents, you can be part of shaping what comes next as every ticket sold goes straight back into supporting future choreographers!
Support local artists
Studio Scratch is designed to support artists to develop their practice through experimentation, feedback and exchange. It gives artists an opportunity to test new ideas and connect with other artists and audiences in a chilled space.
For audiences, it offers a chance to discover new artists, gain insight into their creative processes and play an active role in the development of new work.
You might just witness something special
“We’re opening our studio doors so you can experience dance being made from the very beginning; a rare opportunity to get close to the creative process, as artists test ideas, share works-in-progress and invite audiences into the conversation. Featuring dance artists at all stages of their careers, you might just witness the start of something special.” Anthony Missen, Creative Director & Chief Executive of DanceEast
